2. What was the first movie you ever remember watching in theaters?
Oh man. Any memory question is hard on me. I can’t remember shit from when I was a kid. So, unfortunately, I think Titanic is the first movie I actually have a clear image memory of seeing in theaters when it came out. That was fifteen years ago, so I’m really surprised I remember that much. I know I saw a bunch of animated Disney movies when I was a kid. But I have no memory of those things.
4. Top 5 directors
Sergio Leone, Martin Scorsese, Brian De Palma, Walter Hill (right now), and Sam Raimi. These are in no specific order and always subject to change. I probably would’ve had a different answer a year ago and will have a different one in a year from now.
6. Your best experience on going to the movies
I don’t know about my best experience going to the movies but my favorite would probably be when I saw The Evil Dead, Zombie and Pieces in 35mm in Poughkeepsie a few years ago at the first Hudson Horror. It was all followed up by a 35mm screening of Black and Blue tour (Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult live from Black and Blue tour in 1980.)
16. A tearjerker
When Arnie goes down in the lava at the end of T2 with his thumb up.
26. Favorite Love Story
I know I’ve got an answer for this… Right now the best answer I have is True Romance. I’ll come back and edit this if I think of something else.
27. A movie you hate
First answer that comes to my mind (besides the re-make of A Nightmare on Elm Street over and over) is Resident Evil: Afterlife. The whole series really. But especially that one.
32. A book you read for a movie
Does this mean a book that became a movie? I am an illiterate idiot so I don’t have much of an answer. I read half the book that I Am Legend, Last Man on Earth, Omega Man, etc was based off of. Or A Dame To Kill For from Sin City. But that’s a graphic novel.
33. Favorite Musical
There’s actually a few if we’re talking musical movies. But my favorite would probably be The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
cinematicwasteland asked: Favorite Fulci film?
I’ve seen Zombie the most times and it was the first Fulci movie I ever seen. I bought (asked my grandmother to buy it for me I think) JUST because of the cover of the movie when I was like 12. And I just love everything about it. From the score to the gore. It’s just perfect. So I’m gonna have to say Zombie with the Beyond probably ranking in 2nd place for me. New York Ripper has to be one of the most outrageous movies I’ve ever watched though.
